Financial Planning – what we do
Listen
The most important part of what we do is to listen to you. To listen to what your immediate concerns are and what your hopes are for the future.
Understand
Whilst listening we also need to understand about you.
- What motivates you?
- What are your short, medium and long term goals in your life?
- What income and assets do you have to help you to achieve your goals?
- What are your timescales (for example – when do you want to retire? When do you want to sell your business?).
Plan
Now we are ready to develop your plan. This shows:
- Where you are now.
- What would happen if nothing changes.
- What changes are necessary to help you to get where you want to be in life.
We achieve all of this using a powerful cash flow model that uses your income, lifestyle expenditure and various scenarios to highlight the likely impact of different options open to you.
You are then in a position to make a fully informed decision.
Implement
Once you have agreed on your best way forward we then implement the plan. This involves arranging for any investment or other products that may be required to be purchased on your behalf and to generally make sure that what you have agreed what needs to be done is performed as quickly as possible.
Review
This is perhaps the second most important part of what we do. We review and monitor your plan and we meet with you at least every 12 months to discuss this with you and to make any alterations that may be required depending upon changes in your personal circumstances.
